… ¿¡los de siempre!? Esta mañana en The Today Show, Mindy Kaling y Carson Daly fueron los encargados de anunciar los nominados para los 66º Premios Emmy (o los Annual Primetime Emmy Awards que otorga la Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, como se llama). Como suele suceder, hay nombres muy conocidos en estos premios -cuya ceremonia tendrá lugar el 25 de agosto en el Nokia Theater de Los Ángeles y cuyo host será Seth Meyers– y también algunos «vírgenes» como, en este caso, Lizzy Caplan de Masters of Sex; Orange Is the New Black, y hasta True Detective.
¿La serie con más nominaciones? YES! Game of Thrones en 19 categorías, incluyendo Mejor Serie Dramática. Le sigue la grandísima última temporada (o los últimos 8 capítulos, mejor dicho) de Breaking Bad, con 16 nominaciones (entre ellas, Mejor Drama y Mejor Actor para Bryan Cranston). Esperemos que, esta vez, sí se lo den a él, que muy merecido lo tiene nuestro querido Walter White. Por su parte, Fargo, la «serie de momento», obtuvo nada menos 18 nominaciones. Impecable.
¿Los que echamos de menos? Pues claro: el gran Dean Norris (AKA Hank Schrader en BB) y Elisabeth Moss (Peggy en Mad Men, chicos). Para los fans de Orphan Black, nuevamente su protagonista, Tatiana Maslany, fue ninguneada (y los que siguen la serie dicen que LA ROMPE). También se extrañan nominaciones para The Americans (con la increíble segunda temporada que tuvo la serie y con la gran actuación de Matthew Rhys), y para Hannibal, que tiene al magnífico Mads Mikkelsen entre sus protagonistas, que tampoco figuró. Y en categoría Mejor Comedia, OK, vamos con Louie -y también está Silicon Valley– perooo… Parks and Recreation, people? ¿Qué están mirando?
Sorpresas. Elijo una buena y una desconcertante. Laverne Cox, Sophia en Orange is the New Black, se convirtió en la primera transexual en ser nominada a un Emmy. Y su trabajo es muy bueno, a decir verdad, así que bien por ella! En la parte menos positiva, también está nominada Kate Mara por House of Cards, como Mejor Actriz Invitada, lo cual me resulta extraño, cuanto menos, dada su escasa (súper breve y nada descollante) participación en la segunda temporada. No tiene nada que hacer con Alisson Janney ahí. Tss.
