Y anoche se entregaron los premios Emmy 2014. Con transmisión en vivo por Warner, hubo números cantados, alguna sorpresa y reconocimientos a series que ya no están más (habíamos anticipado las favoritas -propias- en este posteo). Las grandes ganadoras de la noche: Modern Family, Sherlock, Fargo y Breaking Bad (All Hail The King!).
– El premio «No de nuevo, decía»: Modern Family, a Mejor Comedia. Con tremendas contendientes en la misma categoría, como Veep o bien Orange is the New Black, fue una pena ver que esta «familia moderna» se alzara con el quinto premio consecutivo (omg). Tsss.
– El premio «El nerd de siempre»: Sí, Jim Parsons, oootra vez por The Big Bang Theory. Ojo, no es mala su interpretación, pero… de nuevo, competía contra Louis CK (por Louie) y Ricky Gervais (por Derek). No. Suena a premio que dieron porque es una de las sitcom más vistas, nada más.
– El premio «Say my name»: En este es todo pura felicidad, claro. Breaking Bad arrasó con premios merecidos por su última temporada. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul y Anna Gunn se llevaron los premios por actuación, y la serie obtuvo el galardón a Mejor Serie Dramática (y también una de sus guionistas, Moira Walley-Beckett, por el que tal vez sea uno de los mejores episodios de serie ever: Ozymandias).
– El premio «ganaron todo pero ni cruzaron el charco para venir»: para los británicos Benedict Cumberbatch y Martin Freeman, ambos en actuación por Sherlock. Por suerte estaba Steven Moffat para subir al escenario a recibir su premio por Guión de Miniseries, Película o Especial de Drama (también por Sherlock: His Last Vow).
– El NO premio «Los que se fueron con las manos vacías»: Todas las series de Netflix que no ganaron nada y True Detective, aunque al menos ganó Cary Fukunaga como Director. Y también nos dejó una gran cortina musical que sonó varias veces durante la ceremonia y a estos dos lindos perdedores:
– Los «momentos que NO»: ese extraño musical con Weird Al (con participación especial de Andy Samberg como el King Joffrey de GoT) y ese discurso que dio un hombre mientras Sofía «ayyy papiii» Vergara giraba en una plataforma sólo para mostrar su escultural cuerpo.
– Algunos de los highlights de la noche: el tributo de Billy Cristal a Robin Williams, tras el momento In Memoriam:
